ACH Direct Debit enables you to authorize Bank of Jordan to carry out your payments and money transfers from your personal accounts to other merchants’ / companies’ accounts with Bank of Jordan or any other local bank through the Automated Clearing House (ACH).

What is ACH Direct Debit?

If you have recurring monthly payments such as rents, installments or any other payments that you usually make either by writing postdated checks or depositing cash directly in the beneficiary's account, now you can simply complete all your payment transactions through the Direct Debit Service by filling and signing an authorization form, and then delivering it to the beneficiary, who will in turn submit the form to his bank for the authorization to be activated.

 What are the features of the ACH Direct Debit Service?

• It is an automatic alternative to postdated checks and cash payments.
• Irrevocable, meaning the payer cannot cancel the authorization except with the consent of the beneficiary.
• Ability to set start and end dates and determine the sum of the movements value and the value of each transaction.

 What are the procedures of using the ACH Direct Debit Service?

• Print the form here or get it from any Bank of Jordan branch (Note that this form is standard for all banks).
• Read the form with all its definitions, terms and conditions, then fill in all the required fields.
• Sign the form in the designated areas using authorized bank signature.
• Hand a copy of the form to the beneficiary, so he can sign it in the designated areas and then submit it to his bank.

What are the terms and requirements of the ACH Direct Debit Service?

• Authorization currency is JOD only.
• Amounts are deducted on a monthly basis.
• Ensure you have sufficient balance in your account to collect debits without refusal.
• Read the authorization terms and conditions shown on the form.
• The paying customer (individuals) of Jordanian nationality and the beneficiary (Merchants / companies) should sign the form in the designated areas using authorized bank signature.
• The paying customer and the beneficiary should submit a copy of the form to the bank within a maximum of three working days from the date of signing.
• When the bank receives the authorization (for the beneficiary or paying customer), the due date of the first / last payment must not be less than 10 working days from the date of the beginning / end of the authorization.
